In 2012, Loop AI Labs pioneered the world's first independent applied AI research lab in San Francisco, focusing on unsupervised deep learning for language understanding and later AI agents through large‑scale deployments, doing this years before deep learning and AI agents became widely recognized as foundational advances in artificial intelligence.

Even before the 2022 AI craze, we saw and predicted today's AI models slamming into a brick wall—one only quantum-built AI could smash through. Deep learning is miles ahead of old AI, but its core architecture and short-term memory can't scale up enough for the big breakthroughs humanity needs.

Enter Loop Quantum AI Labs: an independent entity spun off from our main labs, dedicated to forging quantum-native intelligence and redefining AI.

Amid the hype, most teams are racing to 'quantum-accelerate' today's Transformers architecture. At Loop, we believe that’s interesting but incremental. The Fundamental Limits of Neural Networks

Today's neural nets shine in narrow tasks but crash against context-window walls: self-attention's quadratic complexity (O(n²)) explodes memory and compute (doubling the window quadruples costs), while newer recursive models (RLM) merely trade memory for "blind spots" by fragmenting data into disconnected parts. Whether drowning in scaling costs or losing the "needle in the haystack" through lossy navigation, these architectures cannot grasp the holistic interdependencies of biological system or any other complex system. While others attempt to patch these flaws with recursive scripts or quantum speedups for classical math, Loop is moving beyond the neuron. We are replacing classical probability and fragmented logic with quantum-native state spaces that map the universe’s complexity without 'blind spots' or quadratic collapse.
